Our undergraduate students presented the posters they prepared as a part of MAN326 Decision Analysis course. In the presentations, our students have defended their posters summarizing their projects on the application of the techniques taught in the course, on real-life problems.
In the Decision Analysis course, quantitative decision techniques, such as multi-criteria decision analysis, decision trees, and dynamic programming, are taught. The projects prepared as a part of the course are based on solving the real-life problems that each student defines himself/herself, using the taught techniques. This year, in their projects, our students suggested optimal decisions and plans for the problems they have encountered, about optimizing the location of solar energy farms, light lengths for smart traffic light systems, scheduling of students and trainers, and vehicle routing and subway scheduling decisions.
Our students made their poster presentations to our faculty members from different expertise on 02.06.2016. The poster presentations received significant appreciation and plaudits from our faculty members.
We thank for the effort and success of our students Duygu Karaahmet, Sena Bozgan, Kübra Yorulmaz, Ahmet Aslandağ, and İbrahim Yıldız.
